题目：Toward a 3D Multimedia Rich Life: from the Perspective of Signal Processing

摘要: The ultimate entertainment experience is to put yourself in the center of a multimedia world. For example, 3D multimedia bridges the multimedia processing and our daily real life. 3D movies revamped the user experiences with the feeling of presence. The advances of virtual reality further enhance the gaming experience by providing binocular inputs. The pre-described 3D multimedia rich life requires the support of several fundamental signal processing tasks that will be briefly addressed in this talk.

报告人简介:Yu-Hsun Lin received his Ph.D. degree with the Graduate Institute of Networking and Multimedia, National Taiwan University. He received B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering, NCKU 2006 and M.S. degree in Computer Science NTHU 2008. He is a recipient of MediaTek Fellowship 2013, a member of the Phi Tau Phi Scholastic Honor Society, 2014 and a member of IEEE. His research interest includes 3D multimedia processing and quality assessment.
